Film Reveries is where I, Arai, review and talk about less talked about Japanese films and TV-series that I’ve watched and enjoyed. My favourites are the slow-paced ones that make you learn to appreciate life! Sometimes Korean films too! I also enjoy the works of Studio Ghibli and others anime films every now and then and although pretty popular, I think their perspective on life should be talked about more!

I try to look at the themes and ideas behind these films, their social commentary, and their perspective on life. The thoughts of those who made them and their ideologies. I believe that through films we can reflect on our own lives and experiences, and I find that interesting.

The reviews are aimed towards those who’ve already seen the films, but I have marked all spoilers so you can also find something to watch without getting spoiled!
